Lori, I have a question about the board and delegates. Not sure how to ask it but here goes. Once you are named to the board do you still need to be a delegate? To make the question simpler, If Rick is not a delegate does he hold the Chairmanship and when he is the past chair does he keep his board seat even if not a delegate? Not picking on Rick just curious and he is an easy example.

Another request for you Lori, could someone at headquarters do some math on the cost of the ABP "anti refundable levy campaign" I'm sure this question will be raised across the province and I don't think producers should be fudged off with a "we don't know" "we can't separate that out from our regular expenses" responses. This was clearly a major campaign that was launched by the board of ABP who presumably authorised the spending of a large sum on an advertising campaign for one thing. I think producers have the right to know how much money was spent on this.
      Thank you.

Thanks for the comments guys. Firstly to Per - in order to be on the board, you must be a delegate. Next year Rick will be considered a Past-Chair. He will not be a delegate. He will hold the Past-Chair position for one-year.

Grassfarmer - I can certainly get a tally of costs on the ads done regarding Bill 43. In the meantime, I can assure you the cost was nowhere near what the rumour mill was circulating.

The cost of two producer letter mail outs and additional media news advertising and meetings related to the announcement of ALMA and ALMS cost $92,000.

My mistake on the above costs. I read something wrong.
            Costs include:

$19,077 for the letter mailed to producers.
            $20,406 Extra radio ads
            $31,747 for print ads

            Total cost is: $71, 230

On second thoughts are these costs for the anti bill 43 campaign that I asked about or for "meetings related to the announcement of ALMA and ALMS"??
