Things I heard... we have to be the best low cost producers to compete...we need the producer to raise a constant product...After so many years one would think the packer and the retailer know how they want to market their product..enough of the b.s.

I heard we need to be more competitive at
ground level (tough to adopt technology
when we are cash strapped). Also heard
that trickle down economic theory is the
          one that will stand.

It looks to me like Gordon Cove has the hog industry model as his reference...I assume most primary producers know what that means.

Of all the lies that have been fed to us over the years the lie of "trickle down economics" is the biggest one of all.

In my experience, anything that "trickles down" ain't good.

In general is the main concern with ALMA, short term
problems in the industry but they are focused on the
longer term or is that you don't believe the story?

They seem to be focused on long term help for the packing industry and their buds.....not the basic farmer who is struggling....major! People that have never complained before are now voicing their disgust.
Things are rough...for producers....packers have never had it so good. Why should there be such a discrepancy?
Shaney, you let him off very easy...no hard questions and believe you me, every cow producer is asking the hard questions to themselves.
