    greenfeed vs silage bales

    What would the price difference be between the two? I've been looking on ropin the web and finding guys pricing them about the same cents/lb. Does that sound right? Or should greenfeed be worth more because of the less moisture? Or does the silaging process make up the difference in moisture?

    Greenfeed should be worth more due to moisture, I would calculate moisture out...but this year is different!

      Not only the moisture difference but if you have to truck them any distance the weight becomes an issue since silage bales are over half water. On my b-train easy to get a full load of greenfeed on but can easily overload if they are decent silage bales.
