All we have to do is leave out the part where it says "born in", and MCOOL would not contravene NAFTA, unlike your version.

Where it is processed is what country it is a product of. That's what we all signed on for, and that's the way it is. That's all I'm going to say about that since we've been fighting over this same detail for years now, and will not ever agree on it.

It is only being open and transparent and honestly telling the consumers what countries were involved in the raising and production of the product-- which was the #1 issue the consumers were asking for- especially after all the tainted products from Asia came to light...

Cattle raised in Canada-but brought to the US to be slaughtered is labeled Product of the Canada and USA-- the same as product of Thailand, processed in the US would be labeled Product of Thailand and USA...

You surely wouldn't expect it to be labeled Product of USA- would you? That would be a Falsehood...

Remember the US imports meat products from 48 different countries...
