Mc Donalds was supposed to be the food server at the games. If this is true the word should go out now....as they are supposed to be requiring verified beef only from Canada for all their use..

Phoned McDonalds in Toronto and they (said) only Canadian beef being used at this time and at the Olympics. But if they cannot get enough product from Canada they would supplement with offshore meat. Management at the Toronto call center.

Way to be proactive PF. Much better to set the record straight than jump to conclusions based on rumours and hoaxes. People don't seem to listen to the facts or be open to the idea that in the modern information age, rumour and gossip can be as powerful as a bullet, in favour of the person spreading it.

And that is the problem...many different stories out there. One of which is that to keep up the margins, packers are limiting their kills so as offshore does have to come in. (Why kill twice as much for the same profit?)
Will try to get some info on imports with the next Canadian Ecomomic Develop. stats.....that should tell the story.
