Do YOU REALLY own your property

This is a MUST READ for all property holders. Makes you realize how deep our heads are buried in the sand. Sounds like a third world country.

I am glad you found this website. The CAEPLA 2010 newsletter was just sent out about 1 week ago with 155,000 copies sent by a mailing house to Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and NE British Columbia.

CAEPLA booth was at 2009 Red Deer show,Agribition and 2010 Saskatoon Crop Show.

Welcome to the landowner movement that is sweeping across Canada.

      On a somewhat related point:

The town of Drumheller contacted us this week, by
mail, asking permission to go on our land and test
for mosquitos and too spray their larvacide on our
      stock watering sources.... what MORONS.

What the heck right do they think they have to be
spraying insecticide into our water sources?

Anyways, I told them absolutely no access. They
don't understand that the mosquito problem like
we had late last year, was a result of tiny puddles of
water all over the prairies that sat stagnant after
the 5 inches of rain we had over a few days. Water
that is large enough, like a dugout or dam, can
usually see enough wave action to kill off the
      larvae.

Besides if they want to stop West Nile, they should
as the folks at Suffield to stop releasing it.

The NEB is way worse than portrayed by CAEPLAL. The only thing the NEB has authority on is depth of cover over pipelines. Should the ground subside, and the company refuse to bring it back to field ground level, the NEB on inspection will compel them to do so should a landowner complain. It's a safety issue. All else that you would expect the NEB to have clout on is like expecting a fish to ride a bicycle. So save your breath for the Company bosses.

On the positive side, I've found that the companies that work on our properties on a daily basis, and know that they will be dealing with you again and again in the future, will bend over backwards to do what you require of them.
