    I have some yearling heifers that are getting a little sick.Darn weather's so variable this winter.I don't want to treat too quickly as I would like for them to build some immunity but I was wondering how long I can let it go until I must treat?Is everyone else having more trouble than normal this year?

    I have a pen of heifers and a pen of steers, side by side. They have never looked back since weaning until yesterday. Then for no apparent reason the steers went right off their feed! They share a waterer with the heifers and are getting the exact same feed. They don't seem to be sick...no droopy ears or snotty noses. Yesterday was really warm up to 10(chinook). So I don't know if that was the problem or not.
