    The right to defend yourself.

"We are losing our right to defend ourselves",
editorial opinion article in today's Calgary Herald.
The cancer in our government system runs deep:
    good article,

With the stolen trailer and wagon, scenario that
took place in Hanna recently, I can attest to the fact
that the RCMP were more helpful to the criminals
than the victim. Extreme biases are found
everywhere. We have a serious problem when those
with the power to lay criminal charges are taking
the criminal's word over the innocent victims.

Why is our government paying for lawyers for
criminals to sue their victims in civil court????

Yes, it is a good article. I always have a loaded gun handy at night. Night visitors who break in are not "guests".

Beware of newspaper columnists and others purporting to report on the state of the law. The Court of Appeal for Ontario did NOT acquit Cedric Forde. They ordered a new trial. A jury of his peers convicted him of manslaughter the first time. We will have to wait and see what the new jury does.

I had a Mountie as a basketball coach in
high school, and he always said if you're
gonna shoot someone, shoot to kill. Then
there's only 1 side to the story.

It seems that there are elements of the law that see where it will lead if citizens are denied the use of "appropriate force" when attacked. The result of self-defense does not always end up with charges or convictions.
