Things finally heating up every where else? Brooks had cows at 1900 on saturday. Been that way at three different yards for weeks. I was hoping it would start to cool off by now. There was at least 5000 head for sale again this week.

Ya time to sell out is here! Talked to Cattlemens
finance asked if they were thinking of raising the
$1350 per animal cap?, flat out said no. They
prices would need to be this high for a year or 2
          before they would.

I believe Cattlemen's is just recycling
FCC money. Wouldn't it be better just to
go to FCC? Our experience has been that
if you already own some cows, you decide
your own risk level as the security is
held against your entire cowherd (not just
            the cows you bought).
CF has an interesting ownership structure

I agree just go to farm credit instead,we have always found them very easy to work with.Even during the bse years when everyone else was dumping there cows, they always backed us when we were expanding hard.

Ya I did have my herd financed through FCC but
then they disagreed with my decision to buy
more land. So we went our separate ways. Went
to cfc and they bought my herd on paper gave
me a cheque for 90% of the value. Was ready to
buy 3 quarters land on auction day with cfc cash.
Auction Sale ended not how I wanted and got
only 1 more quarter. So since FCC and I parted
ways I picked up 3 more quarters, One, credit
                be given to cfc.

CFC approves/declines the loans not FCC it is
FCC money but CFC is who you need to keep
                happy.

They gave me a chance, I am giving them a
chance. If they can keep up with me and the
growth I want I can overlook paying additional
                fees.
