Cattle market searching for new low.

Hope we get a bounce soon, the sooner we find
bottom the better. Very glad I didn't end up with
$1700 cows to pay for. Maybe the headlines the
AG sector is booming better move back to just
the grain guys doing well.

Are prices at the mart down already?

O and ya I know what the marts reps (Jack &
Garth) are saying......another great sale......the
market is strong.....

Wish I would have kept my open heifers from this
fall into this former winter price rally.

Sold some cull cows yesterday, and they brought the best price yet. Hubby was at the auction mart, and didn't think the feeders looked much down. I think maybe a bit on the heavier ones, but the lighter ones are about what they have been for a while now.

Feeder cattle are off a bit.
I kept most of my heifers and have just been running them out with the cows. Sort of a pain in the butt because I had to bring in the bulls...and those jerks like to push each other around and generally break stuff!
I guess I'll breed some of the better heifers and grass the rest. Usually whatever I do....is the wrong way to go!
