Well the latest way were loosing calves this year,
(after the coyotes & wolf) is now to a bear. Found
a calf today with at least a 12 inch square open
wound on its left side. Maggots galore fly's ...a
very pretty site (sark). Got him an mom back to
the yard washed with water hose and peroxide,
gave him v lites just for a energy boost. (he can
still run) put him and mom in cattle shelter hay&
water. Less flyes and intense sun/heat in there.
I am thinking about putting pine tar on the wound
after cleaning it with alcohol.
Looking forward to cashing land rental cheques.
