The "anti" group are making their move!
And it is time to be proactive . . . We
have a BC minister about to initiate
debate with a second reading of Bill C-
322 … effectively it has the following
consequences.
14.1 No person shall import horses for
slaughter for
human consumption.
18.1 No person shall export from Canada,
or send or
convey from one province to another,
horses for
slaughter for human consumption.
9.1 No person shall import or export a
horse meat
product for human consumption or send or
convey a
horse meat product for human consumption
from one
province to another.

We already know that the anti-slaughter
lobbyists have been successful in the
USA.
Passage of this Bill opens the doors
(give them an inch, they’ll take a mile)
for others to dictate how YOU manage the
livestock that you own.
For those of you in the SW corner of
Saskatchewan, Please take a moment to
contact David Anderson (Cypress Hills--
Grasslands, Saskatchewan) at ~~
david.anderson1@sasktel.net ~~ to
explain to him the negative impact that
the passage of this Bill will have on
the horse’s welfare. As stockmen and
stockwomen we do our best to insure that
our animals are healthy and well cared
for. Mother Nature and Human
intervention does not always co-operate
and there will always be injuries beyond
healing, conformational development with
associated pain, as well as disposition
problems that put people and other
animals in danger.
