Canadians won over half of the big prize money at Calgary. Don't know when that happened last. Congrats to Dustin Flundra, Scott Schiffner, Kirt Bensmiller, and the Ontario kid. You made this old Canadian proud.

Something to be proud about that’s for sure!

A little shout-out to the “Ontario kid” Morgan Grant on winning the tie-town roping event (and tying 2nd in the steer wrestling). He gave his hometown of Granton, Ontario its 60 second of fame on the CBC. Not bad for his rookie year at the Stampede AND the only cowboy east of Manitoba.
