Just got back from Calgary and the roads were pretty icy in places. Came on a wreck on HWY 2 with traffic down to one lane. Going southbound there is a truck hung up on the wires in the meridian facing north then on the hard shoulder opposite there is his 5th wheel trailer lying on it's side also facing north and behind that his sled trailer was lying in the ditch. Not quite sure how everything managed to finish up where they did, without involving any other vehicles and without having anything lying on either lane.
Even more baffling was less than 10 minutes later being passed by a little car with 4 adult occupants doing about 120km with one of the little "spare tires" on - aren't you only supposed to do about 70kms with these under ideal conditions?
I salute the seeming invincibility that Canadians feel driving on ice!
