I started another post but want to go back to your topic so that it is top and center and front for all AGRIVILLERS.
What should you say to Mr. Ritz. The PFRA download of pastures and putting the "little person" out of business is a form of PROPERTY RIGHTS. As most of you know and especially Alberta the ISSUE OF PROPERTY RIGHTS is a very dear and close to all your hearts. ASRG and others have to keep working and fighting to protect BIG ALBERTA ie ENERGY & REDFORD GOVERNMENT on the continual push against all rural Albertas.
The PFRA situation in Saskatchewan is basically the same. True being a PFRA pasture Patron is a priviledge for many "little producer" mixed farmer with grain to have a cow-calf operation. This pastron status is not saleable or transferable but it is still a priviledge.
Tell Mr. Ritz that he has been given some very WRONG ADVICE for the BEEF SECTOR groups. CCA, SCA,. I know several of those directly under Mr. Ritz and on his advisary committee. I know there position and stand.
In Saskatchewan the "line is drawn in the sand". Bullying tactics is a terrible thing when it comes from big energy companies and goverments. I am very priviledged to experience and learn how to take on "GOLIATH" on the SAPL now CAEPLA movement. All the power is with the BIG ENERGY COMPANIES, BIG BUSINESS AND GOVERMENTS. The have all the KEY TRUMP cards to use as they want.
The have one a couple of weakness though that through STRATEGIC TACTICS the "little guy" can hopefully fight back.
1)Organized Grass Roots Movement with a common cause-----A chance for survival and a little piece of grassland for his cow.
2)Negative publicity against GOVERNMENT and ENERGY COMPANIES.
THE DAVID AND GOLIATH STORY all medias pick up and run with when it is about Passion of the Little People.
MR RITZ--you have been adviced wrong from the MAJOR CATTLE GROUPS. Maybe a movement like what appears to be happening in his home province could make a very embarassing situation for him.

Too many little people, too many small communities, too many people are being affected by the anxiety of this PFRA download. I don't know what this can do for the PFRA TREE NURSERY AT INDIAN HEAD??
