Hey I finally figured out how to post pictures!!
Contented cow grazing thistles in -25C weather.

To post pictures go to your photobucket library, select the picture you want then click on the HTML code (3rd box down) for that picture and it will copy it. Then paste it into the Agriville box(Ctrl V). Seems to me that you need to type a word or two of text in the Agriville box before pasting the code in?
I couldn't get it to work on the MAC but it does with a PC.

Now, this I do know how to do. Thanks for the photobucket info. To embed, you click on the share button, then if you look closely there's an embed button that opens up. Click on that. The code comes up already highlighted. Then it's just a copy and paste.

Thanks for posting the video kato - now if we could
just make this post a "sticky" like other sites use the
info would be right there for all to see.

Yeah, ASRG its real - cows can graze for half the
winter and do just fine. I think what a lot of people
can't see past is that it's not a matter of "feeding
them" or "not feeding them". I get tired of the Kit
Pharo type BS where guys pretend they live on
nothing - they don't - nutrients are nutrients and you
know they need plenty to keep that kind of condition
in winter. So then it becomes a matter of whether
they can obtain enough nutrients without expending
too much energy harvesting it - all at a profitable
price. It's not rocket science.
Like anything else with genetics there are tradeoffs -
the cows that maintain condition like this are not the
real big milkers so the weaning weights are less than
someone who is prepared to feed 200 days and
wants to sell 700lb calves.
It's a system that works for me, my cattle and my
objectives but it's maybe not for everyone.
