    feed prices

Has feed prices changed since fall? What are people paying for silage and straw now. I've heard straw selling at $40 bale and silage at $50 ton but is anyone really paying that much? Sounds good for the sellers but not for the buyers.

Some straw was moving at $ 50 per bale this fall but prices seem to have backed off a bit. However, if this weather continues, I wouldn't be surprised if they'll get there again. We're using canola straw bales this year for the first time, and quite like them.

Had some straw delived in mid feb and just this week for $62/ton or 25 a bale & 8.33 for frieght. Considerablly cheaper than the earlier prices of 120/ton in the field. Keep your eyes open people are hungry to move this straw.
