Mr. Mercer is just seeing how close to home the dangers of the secretive nature of, not just companies, but governments has become. Everything is "in the family"... either your in the loop or your a sucker buying or working for them. The sad thing is, most the time this is just hunky-dory for most people. But when it comes to their food - they get a little testy. The wake up call isn't just about the way we slaughter the cattle in Canada... it is a wake up call to pay attention to everything in life. The hockey lock-out might be another good thing... it gives people more time to look at the issues that directly affect them, instead of living in hockey land all winter.
