Who's all goin to Agritrade Red Deer???

Count me in, I have not been to the show in a few
years so what the hay! Going with the neighbor
so should be a good bull shitting session. Not
exactly sure how much drinking a guys supposed
to do so we'll just wing it!

First year in quite a few we won't make
it. A very disappointed little boy lives
here. I like it as it is a good chance to
visit folks and also to look at cool new
toys that I will never own as well as
scope out our next tractor 30 years in
    advance (LOL).
We are planning to hit Agribition this
    year.

I very much agree with what your saying. Often
it's equipment that is way out of the league of the
      average cow calf producer.

The thing is 2,3,4,5 years down the road this stuff
does end up on this farm. For example for me I
am not buying a new or even newer tractor this
year but within 2 years I will be buying another.

For me aeration fans and aeration hopper rockets,
cattle handling equipment, round baler all of these
things I looked at at the farm shows not realizing I
      would own one day.

I also plan to look at a tractor at JD in Red Deer a
4450 with power shift and under 4000 hours.????
Would run my rake or a second baler. Really
want a front wheel assist but new is to pricey.
Most dealer used has over 10,000 hours and they
still want huge money. The dealers way over pay
for this mostly wore out stuff. I think the place to
buy is from farm dispersal sales. Way better
quality then dealer lots and priced right.

We are planning on going to Agribition this year, I find it really interesting to see all the newest ideas for equipment and such. About the only thing that I will be buying is a few tickets to the rodeo and some food for the family, I agree most of the stuff that we see at these trade shows will end up on our farms in the next few years?....but as it sits right now I really don't see any large purchases being made. I agree with you Allfarmer that farm auctions would be the best as usually the machinery will tell you how it was treated..LOL, all of our equipment comes from farm sales, bargin hunter, kijji etc
