On Saturday, as part of the world's longest barbecue, Lyle Vanclief spoke at the barbecue in his home county for about an hour. Surrounded by farmers he's lived with his entire life, and according to them, his entire attitude about BSE seemed to be to shrug his shoulders and say "That's life". He suggested that once the current compensation money runs out, it's APF or nothing.
Has a lot of his neighbours in Prince Edward County VERY upset with him, although that's been happening steadily for the last few years.

Hi Dalek - I remember last year with our drought in Alberta what a wonderful gesture came from the east with Haywest. (thanks again)But, Mr. Vanclief raised the blood pressure of many AB farmers with his "life's life that" attitude. How on earth did this guy get to where he is.
