We had a good time in Mallaig, AB on the Aug
long weekend. Check out their website:

91/SID/15804
They do the whole weekend for donations only!
Amazing group of volunteers and support from
community. Money is raised to directly support
people with cancer, to help pay bills, travel
expenses, etc.
Saturday they feed the crowd a beef supper (I
heard 2400 people) and a pancake breakfast on
Sunday morning with a yummy syrup made of
brown sugar and cream - suc de creme!
I would encourage everyone to attend next year.
Take you kids and grand kids, camping is also
free. No campfires allowed, but with 349 campers
I can certainly see why. They have a big campfire
by the main cooking facility to roast a
marshmallow. You really should see how they
cook the roasts for all those people.
