I think we should have an "adopt a cow person program"! Sort of like adopt a mile of abandoned railway or adopt a peice of the rainforest thing! Send us necessities like hay and grain or maybe MONEY!!!
I know my son would be all smiles! Maybe send some IBR/BVD vaccine? Or some ivomec? Or fill up the deisel tank?
Sorry, a kind of silly thread. After all we all know farmers are living that prosperous "simple" life!

cowman, you are so good at your predictions! In the US they have a thing called "Farm Subscriptions". This allows an Urban brother (or sister) to buy a subscription to the years harvest. From what I can gather this has been going very well for fruits, veg's and the like down there.

In Canada they have not done this to any scale (to my knowledge) however, the regulations state that if a person has ownership directly or indirectly of an animal "They are a producer".

We are presently working on a system that would help tie the urban folks to the farms in such a manner. There are some kinks to work out. One of the biggest is the food safe aspects of this deal. But good call cowman.
