    Coyotes?

It seems some old Oriental boy had a bunch of coyotes all butchered out for chop suey or something in Edmonton. Apparently there is nothing wrong with this as long as he gets them done in a federally inspected plant!(This is what the health authority actually said!)!
Now coyotes are hardy little devils! You can feed them darn near anything, they don't need elaborate barns or anything etc. Maybe we should all get into the coyote business? Why just think how many Chinamen there are in the world? All just waiting to tie into a juicy coyote T-bone?
Kind of ironic that our beef is unsafe but our old coyotes are just the ticket?
Maybe we could solve the whole cull cow problem real easy...just feed them to our expanding coyote herd and reap the profits?

Ya - And coyotes make good rodent control devices. We could kill two birds with one stone. Feed them on gophers, and then cash in at the restaurants!

HA! I'm amazed no one has thought of this before. What we really need first, though is some experts to advise us.

LOL, I had a producer tell me that he was not going to ship cows he was going to shoot them in the bush and set snares around it! A good coyotes' worth about $70.00 and he figures once he has the dogs cleaned up, he will make a good buck!!!

cowman the plant will be for diversified livestock, not sure what the regs actually say about this, but I also heard the CFIA guy say to sell the meat they would have to be inspected! Hmmm may have something there cowman!!!

At least everyone has still got their sense of humour. Now any other segment of society. after going through what agriculture has in this country over the past ten years, would be rioting in the streets. Instead we crack jokes about it and talk lots but do nothing. I guess we reap esactly what we deserve, very little except ridicule!!!!

Well carebear, I have to agree with you that what has happened in agriculture in the last ten years or so is a tradgedy. Unfortunately I have some bad news for you: Nothing is going to change! This is our future!
Now it's sort of like being on the Titanic. You can either laugh and live it up or you can be angry and fret about it...but either way you're going down!
Life is a series of moments, so live the moment. If you can get a little laugh today go for it...or" eat drink and be merry for tommorrow we die" sort of attitude.

I have to see the present and prepare for the future!

"My future" may not be real today but I am working towards it. Keeping our minds focused on a goal helps us move forward, but not doing anything is no fun at all. We need a smile to move forward.
