    Breaking news

NORTH POLE, CANADA. Santa Claus announced today that, due to the ban on exporting Canadian ruminants to other countries after a single case of BSE, he and his sleigh will not be leaving Canadian airspace this Christmas. The decision was made final after the USDA rejected his last-minute appeal to enter the US on a short-term basis.
Santa said that, although many children will be disappointed, it will make his night much easier and there will be many toys left over for next year so he expects to send his elves to Florida for 11 months.
He also said that, in spite of the many challenges of breeding and raising reindeer in an area with such a short growing season, he remains proud to be a Canadian farmer.

The days were dark before, I believe they are going to get even darker.
But god I hope I'm wrong, because in two weeks or less my first calves will be arriving.
