    Cheats!!

I have spotted something in the USDA statement of 5th of January which we should all be pointing out to our politicians:
"USDA has made the decision to depopulate the bull calf operation in Mabton, Washington, that includes a calf born to the heifer infected with BSE prior to the heifer’s slaughter this past December."
What??? the animal with BSE was a heifer?? but surely if she was a heifer she couldn't have been born 6 1/2 years ago?
I think the authors knowledge is about as flimsy as their scientific evidence!

I noticed that too. I think that knowledge of the subject is not a requirement for reporting the news. (That's a little scary, isn't it?)

I bet if someone wrote a story on George Bush and his fellow Democrats it would be noticed! LOL

Well they were all heifers once right? Just like all ladies were once girls? And sometimes we call old women , girls? Just a poor choice of words, but nothing shocking here.

This happens within the industry too, I'm getting really tired of auctioneers that will call a cow a "2nd-calf heifer" or even a 3rd-calf heifer to try to pump her up.

Around here the auctioneers call them "heiferettes". Makes them sound like cheerleaders.

Does that make a steer a bullette?
