    SRMs?

The science of today, in North America, says eye balls, brains, spinal cord and lower colon? Not quite so fast...In Europe the scientists now say bone marrow and gelatin???
Pharmaceuticals and cosmetics are virtually going to be wiped out!
If you believe the European scientists the day of the bone in beef is gone! No more T-bones, no more lamb chops!
So who do we believe? The American scientist or the European scientist?

take a look in the last western producer there is a vCJD case that is suspected of being caused by a blood transfusion.

Hmmm...My sister recently needed a blood transfusion during surgury. They made her sign a form saying she wouldn't sue them if she got something from the blood!
Remember how the Red Cross dithered and stonewalled on the dirty blood deal? Maybe the CCA, National Cattlemans association etc. were taking notes?

Hey guys there is no good news with BSE just more and more ideas theories and un-proven retoric.
It is a 30yr experiment with UK citizens as the guinea pig.
Most countries have some rules about blood from UK, or nationals who have spent time in UK during the high risk BSE years.
Is this fact or fiction or just risk management?
No BSE blood related rules here but is it because there is no risk or so much risk nothing can be done.

At the moment I think you have to accept the answer to most BSE questions is "dont know yet" "not enough data" etc.
If they cannot be sure if or how BSE is transmitted to humans how can there be a test to say beef is safe?

I believe you are right Ian when you say no one knows and the British people are the guinea pigs. Have you heard the story of the British girl who got vCJD and was treated by a doctor on the west coast of the USA. Apparently when her symtoms started to reverse and she started to recover the scientists decided she must not have had CJD! But they are now treating the 7 living vCJD victims with the same cocktail!
Gulf War Syndrome was a prion disease. Not only did returning American soldiers get it but so did some of their family members. The rumors were that there was a treatment that worked at curing it. The whole thing was rather a mystery as the American Defense Department suppressed most of the info about Gulf War Syndrome.
