There is this guy in BC who sells marijuana seeds on the internet. His name is Marc Emery and he calls himself the "Prince of Pot". He claims he moves $6 million dollars worth of seeds a year!
On his website he is offering to help any Canadian cattleman with a startup kit to grow dope! Seeds, soil, fertilizers, growing info and a 1000 watt light. Claims it is worth $600 and will generate $15,000/yr. in net revenue. All you have to do is prove you have cattle and he will send you the kit.
In his own words "America doesn't want our cattle, so why not grow a product that they really do want!"

This may sound silly but then when you consider that dope has become our number one agricultural crop maybe it isn't? I find it ironic that the number one money maker in agriculture gets absolutely no support or advice from our government ag departments...maybe thats why it's #1?

If you go back in history you have the Kennedy and the Bronfman Families that made a fortune in the illegal booze trade. Fifty or sixty years from now, who knows what powerful family there be, who's money came from the illegal Wacky Tabbacy trade!

It's really quite simple, if you wanna make money raising great farting beasts that taste good, make it illegal first!

On tv last night they had a guy say he was amazed at the big dope operation in the Molson factory in Barrie Ont. Not by how big it was but that it was a Canadian factory where people were actually working and producing a product someone wanted!
Apparently there were 30,000 plants worth about 30 million and they took three crops a year! The cops said there are over 50,000 grow ops in Ontario alone! Now that is some serious money!

The article goes on to say "Tourism [in Canada] is down, and thousands of jobs got axed when the U.S. slapped tariffs on exports of softwood and then banned Canadian beef after an outbreak of mad cow disease. The marijuana business, by contrast, is thriving, not least because Canada shares a thinly guarded 5,000-mile border with the U.S., a big market. Ultimately much of the revenue flows into the coffers of hundreds of legitimate businesses selling supplies, electricity and everything else to the growers and smugglers."

Apparently tourism is up in Vancouver where dopers can smoke in a couple of cafes! It is illegal but the cops just stay away. All these American kids come up for the weekend to buy and smoke dope.
In the mountain valleys of BC it is defacto legal...the cops don't even pretend to look for it. And after all it is allowing BC to survive after the lumber industry basically tanked. It's a strange world out there...you see these old gray haired guys in braids and bib overalls driving new Hummers and kids in new Porsches! All the hardware stores stock all kinds of exotic growing equipment...and I don't think it is for tomatoes!
