    CCIA Tags, and Blame Canada

Some of us were discussing this TB "bull" that was found in the USA and we were wondering........ What is there is prevent an American anti-Canadian cattle farmer protestor from come here, buying a slew of "eartags" and putting them into a bunch of infected cattle, to continue the closed border? Right now it would be tough to do while the border is closed, but easier we think when it would be open again.

It could never happen Woolybear.Just because they stuck a Canadian tag on it doesn't make it a Canadian animal. They would have to be able to trace the animal to the herd of origin in Canada, which in that case would be impossible.

If they wanted and could find an unused 5 yr. old tag (or when ever the program started) that had never been used and carrie it to the US and put it in a herd of cattle that had some herd mates imported from Canada years ago and through the CFIA and CCIA into a tail spin.
