    Western Seperatice Movement

Here is a fun topic guys. QEEbec tried it, but didn't work. Maybe we western provinces should try it. Why you say???? Well some of us maybe would like to see this border gone. Yes i mean GONE. Nothing but a bunch of jerks at the border anyway.

American tourists last summer coming to spend their summer holidays in western canada with theirs motor homes, had to leave theirs barbeque steaks at the border. What a joke.

Came threw the border few weeks ago. Do you have any cigarette???
    Do you have any Booze???
    Do you have any Meat????

    Come on guys......This is ridiculous!!!

    Time to redo the borders....

    Next time you go vote.
VOTE for JONHBOYS WESTERN SEPERATICE MOVEMENT

and we get gid of TORANTAA at the same time

Eliminating the southern border is something I am not so sure of anymore. There's alot of things down south that just aren't rubbing me the right way anymore and I'm just not sure I want to be part of it.

Now,drawing a line from south to north at the Ont/Man border is something I might be interested in!I think the Liberals may see something like this brewing in the future and that's why they are so gung ho to stop the western alienation.

Uh, why would we want to jump from the frying pan into the fire? Johnnyboy, would you really want to be an American?
I suspect you are a young man with maybe a young family or one down the road? Do you want to belong to a country that likes to send its kids off to be killed? Remember this could be your kid?
Don't get me wrong...I like Americans...I just don't like their silly ideas about dominating the world!
We definitely need some closer ties and a loosening of the borders...we don't need some of their stupider ideas when it comes to interfereing with everyone elses business? I see Canadas' role as gently persuading our southern neighbors to not act like complete jerks? Then maybe the whole world wouldn't hate them and we all could tap into the prosperity that only America can make happen?

Cowman, your portrait of johnboy is a long ways off, trust me. I agree with a Western Separation to some degree, the idea has its merits, but I see no benefit in joining the US. A new Western Canadian nation is certainly an idea that gets my attention.

Cowman; didn’t you notice that when trouble started in Haiti the “whole world” was calling for the U.S. to get involved right away. They also complained that the U.S. was moving to slow!! This, even BEFORE Any U.N. resolutions!!

The U.S. was also the first to send aid to Iran when the earth quake hit just weeks ago, even though that country officially, supposedly, hates the U.S.

I remind you that there is a certain Calgary based oil company that is hated, and for good reason, in a certain African country for propping up a deadly regime that was carrying out genocide on a certain segment of its population. Yes “Canadian”!!

We live in a glass house. Best not to throw stones. Or we will pay for the sins of others with out even knowing what they have been up to.

Does anybody get the feeling that johnboy555 works for the government? He has real delusions about needing power, talks down to all us "cow/calf dudes that need to get REAL jobs", and is the only one I've seen here who can afford to travel (to the US no less) as most of us farm types are pretty BROKE at the moment. Besides, he's been asked pretty directly what he does for a living in other threads and has declined to respond -- a typical gov't response if I've ever seen one!

Ivebinconned: I don't think I ever said there weren't a lot of dogs up here also? Am I entitled to an opinion? Or do we all have to go with the flow? I make it very clear that I don't like some of the things the US does and you make it clear that you really support them. What is wrong with us having a difference of opinion?
After all we do agree on some things(separation), do we have to agree on everything? This life would be pretty boring if we all thought the same I would think? Variety is the spice of life?

I don't know if I ever said that I realy support them!
What I have said more than once is that we need to expend our thoughts and energy where we should have some influence. Here in our own back yard.
The criticism that you sling at the Americans all the time (with a big brush) can most certainly be leveled at industry in our own country.
If you want them to open the border, then maybe cap in hand, and please and thank you are the words we use. That is all I'm trying to say.

But isn't that always the way we deal with the US? And we get the same treatment every time. Maybe it's time for some different tactics to get some different results. I don't mean business their way (I don't want to stoop to their level), but maybe just giving them what they want all the time because we worry we might piss them off is not the right way either. It's time we stopped acting like a bunch of American lapdogs. Canadian interests and US interests are not always identical. I have no desire to become the 51st state!
