Me again..just read it. The way I see it, they are willing to open the border to beef from over 30 month old animals. As long as the SRM's have been removed.

Also, they don't address live cattle. They say that will be included in a supplemental rule making proposal.

Cow beef is definitely a start. I hope the live cattle proposal isn't far behind.

I read your post and the CCA update but not sure what it means. Is there a date when all this will happen? Just posting rules.. or do we still have to go through the discussion period?

Discussion period starts today, and goes until April 7th. I believe anyone can make a comment. The only requirement is that you post your name. Anyone can read the comments, too, on the APHIS website.
