I have just about had enough with the Government programs. Let me take a guess on how you qualify for this one.
1. You will be required to hire an accountant
2. Please do not phone our help line we may not be able to answer your question.
3. If you have off farm income you will not qualify.
4. If you were born in the U.S.A and own a Business in Canada you qualify.
5. 50% of the funds from this program will be administrative costs.
6. If you work your field Back and forth and not round and round you will not qualify.

Could someone confirm if Bob Speller has actually announced anything. The only thing I have been able to find was mention of a rumoured $300million in the last Western Producer.
"Asked about rumours of a $300 million dollar program, the agriculture minister replied: "I don't comment on rumours but it's low. I think if I do say something, I'd say governments across this country need to recognize the depth of the situation, not only with beef but with a variety of commodities....I am talking about bridging until the full force of CAIS (Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization program) comes this fall," he said Feb. 26. "Up to now, people can take out interim payments and it's up to 50 percent but they're not able to access this program really until the fall so I think there needs to be a bridge until that time...And if the border does not open soon, "more work will need to be done."
