    Breaking News!!! Border to open.....

I just got a call fom an auction barn in Roblin Manitoba. I was told that the Provincial Ag. Minister stood and told the people there that the border was going to open with in days...both ways...to everything! Culls too!

Truth or rumor? Time will tell.

I hope it's true, I really do. I don't even want to hedge a guess as to what will happen once it does open.

At the local feed store this pm heard rumor that Americans were buying cattle again. Also, price of feeders is rising steadily.

Just opened my email from AgWeb.com. Perhaps this is part of the confusion. As I read this, we are now bringing in US feeders. Am I reading it wrong?

Some trade avenues reopened this week with Canada allowing U.S. feeder cattle entry again and Mexico opening their borders to some U.S. poultry. USDA cut the Brazilian soybean crop, too. Next week brings a barrage of livestock-related data from USDA and more work in Washington on the budget. Click here to read more about these and other issues in this week's dispatch.

                      I did ask,"truth or rumer?Time will tell."

So I don't think I was conned, I was just reporting what I was told.

He is an NDP minister...so anything is possible, and if he spoke out of turn...well maybe he was told to go to Mexico, sorta!
