Any of you Alberta fellows know any more about this?

It's about a big farmer beef sale in Edmonton.

If it's what I think it is for Kato, it was a big sale that they held last weekend at the Farm and Ranch show in Edmonton. Some 80,000 lbs of beef traded hands, with the money going into producers' pockets.

They had a news clip on the news on the Monday and people were saying that they didn't know beef could taste so good and they were happy to be buying it because it was less than what they would pay in the store and they knew that the producer was getting the money.

I believ it was just to be a one day affair, but it proved so popular that they held it over the weekend.

I wonder if our Manitoba customers would be this supportive? (Probably most of them assume that the Alberta beef they are buying in the stores is Manitoba beef!)
