    Have you heard????

    Just got home from rodeo parade and heard rumour that the Canadian plants have decided to quit killing American owned cattle up here. I guess some of the big wheels in R-Calf own some cattle up here and the packers have decided to squeeze back.

    Interesting! Will that translate into better calf prices or is this just another way to play the game for the benefit of US packers. I have heard some dire predictions about what fall calves are going to bring. If their forcast materialize we are in even deeper sh...!

        From what I understand of this American ownership of cattle, the actual ownership is through a hedge type of deal? American feeders sort of covering their butts in case the border does open?
        I doubt if you could actually find out who really owned a lot of these cattle? Probably done through a mercantile exchange type of deal?
