What an amazing story about this Alberta Corporation in the Western Producer this week. They are filing a lawsuit with Poundmaker Cree nation over a failed joint hog barn deal. As part of the plan Synergetic "used it's lobbying skills to expediate federal treaty land entitlement owed to the Poundmaker Cree nation" for which they were paid $55,000 by the band. The company also "successfully lobbied Ottawa to obtain documents required to allow the band to develop it's oil and gas reserves" - for another fee of $55,000. Perhaps we should hire them on behalf of the beef industry - send them to Ottawa and to Washington and see if they can get some results. Is this what they call the "price" of democracy?

hmmmm...I wonder if this Synergentic might be of a Quebec persuasion? Perhaps an off shoot of Bombardier or Power Corp.? That would certainly explain their "pull" in Ottawa?
That is the way the game is played in Canada these days! Influence peddling at its finest? We could teach a whole lot of banana republics and tin pot dictatorships a whole new understanding of corruption and graft!
And still people want to vote and support that den of theives called the liberal party! And what can I say...we get the government we deserve!

My only explanation, horse would be that even though Ralph bleeds red like all of us and makes some mistakes like all of us, sucess can by some be measured as doing more things right than you do wrong. I think most albertans would agree that Ralph has done more right than wrong and certainly he has fought harder for us than anyone in Ottawa to get us going again. A leader means everything, and we sure don't seem to have one in Ottawa. I'm so bugged at the lack of support in there I have no idea what I'm going to on the 28th. I feel like not voting, but that doesn't get one anywhere either. Sometimes the lack of a vote, just stregthens the "other" side that you don't want either.
