What a disgraceful article in the Western Producer purporting to be coverage of the BIG-C rally in Camrose. Totally unrecognisable from the actual event. The reporter quoted several speakers at the rally(many out of context)to give the impression that most were against the BIG-C group. In fact there was overwhelming support at the meeting and many of the producers who spoke at the meeting opened by congratulating the group - but of course that is not worth printing. To imply that most people were critical of Cam and the other panel members is dishonest. If she was looking for critical comments perhaps she might have mentioned the ones directed at the ABP delegates in attendance who had to answer many complaints despite the panel speakers saying several times that BIG-C is not out to wreck ABP.
What exactly is the Western Producers political agenda? I see also that Mark Purdey had a letter in this week complaining about the outrageous way his visit to Saskatchewan had been reported which once again served to rubbish his work. Does the WP back corporate America over the western Canadian farm families it serves?
