    Never stay quiet.

Every time that someone tells me to keep my trap shut, I do honestly spend a moment or two discussing morality in my little pea brain befor moving on. (Okay maybe not in those reactionary moments which are usually regretable)
This whole BSE issue has seen lots of moments where I have been told to shut up, but after discussing the morality, I have always seen room to keep talking.
My goal, and the goal of BIG C is to help save the family farm, and though we are not perfect in words and actions, that goal is constant.

I would like to thank all of the rest of you folks on Agriville for not shutting up, and would like to tell you all to give yourselves a pat on the back this week. Both our Prime Minisiter and our respective Premiers have mentioned Canadian packing plants and new export markets in the same breath this week. Our CFIA has made another move with the elimination of more rendered products from animal feed.
And last but not least, Western Producer has come back with three articles finally reporting some of the common sense approach of BIG C. Thank you to all the folks who wrote letters to Western Producer. I beleive that it helped. Just as I beleive every one of your letters to government helped. And our constant badgering of CFIA.
This is a free country, and I still think that our voice can be heard.

Since these Politicians have a little cow on the brain, I beleive it is time for another round of letters asking these boys to listen to their words. Instead of threatening the USA with ideas of new Canadain Packing plants stealing their potential export market, LETS JUST DO IT. My goodness, new market potential, value added, employment etc. etc. political dreams could be no better.
See you all in the funny papers><><

You're awesome, Randy. Speaking for myself, there's no way I would have been able to do some of the things I have, BSE or otherwise, without a strong, consistant, focused mentor to help me over the rough spots. I'm inspired too, I think some of the "higher ups" that we are definatly going to need some form of support from, beit financial or simply permission to do some things, are turning a corner. If the border opens, great, long term lets be independant and just show the U.S. and anyone who cares to know just how much our industry matters and we won't let it drop dead for anyone. Glad to see you back RP... and as loud as ever! Kind of ironic you're title never stay quiet, you must have been not being quiet somewhere other than agri-ville the last day or two... we haven't heard much from you. I know you've been out sending the message rather than griping on this forum! Don't take it personally, I've missed you here a little.

Last night I put "beef initiative group" alberta into google.

Lots of stuff showed up, from the Seattle newspaper, to the Winnipeg Sun, to a TV station in Oregon. I've seen it mentioned on Australian sites, and American sites.

Who says a little noise can't be heard? The American stories focused on how Canadian cattlemen want to become independent from American control.

      Keep up the good work.

BTW....I'm mailing my membership money tomorrow.
