It seems like the crop is coming off not exactly in the best of shape? A lot of really poor wheat out there? And I suspect a lot of poor barley as well?
Now I've heard prices for feed wheat in that $2.20 range and barley around $2? If the weather co-operates we could have a fairly large crop of poor grain looking for a home?
I suspect feeding cattle could be very profitable this year if the market in fats and feeders stays fairly stable? There should be a good profit in feeding cattle unless we get another BSE wreck? ...and if that border cracks open before they go to slaughter the windfall will be huge!
