I believe there will be many other avenues to collect data outside ccia tags. Clearly CCIA has made it clear their initial concerns are directed at health issues/traceback. Alliances such as Beefnet Canada (four breeds Simmental, Charolais, Hereford and Limousin) is an example of an organization attempting to add value to all members of the chain.
