Cargill Meat Solutions shut four of its five beef plants for one day on Wednesday in reaction to poor operating margins and tight supplies of market-ready cattle, a Cargill spokesman said on Wednesday. Production will resume on Thursday. The locations of the four plants were not disclosed. Cargill Meat Solutions is the meat unit of privately held Cargill Inc.

Short of cattle in the states and here we got cattle backed up so bad the government is paying people to keep them off the market! Kind of a dumb business situation, right?
This sort of garbage won't last forever. Sooner or later common sense will prevail and the desire to make money will over ride all the foolishness we've been subjected to the last 18 months!
