Very interesting article about Northwestern Ontario joining Manitoba in the Saturday copy of the Winnipeg Free Press. The fires of independence are heating up once again. The main point of the article is that Ontario will soon become of have-not province if it does not dump it's Northwest portion very soon. Two options are available:
1) Northwestern Ontario joins Manitoba and the Ontario government seals the deal with a $100 million annual payment, saving Toronto a $100 million to spend on its on infrastructure screw-ups.
2) Ontario asks the federal government for equalization payments based on the need for such payments in NW Ontario.
It's a good day for NW Ontario separatists.
