I used to work in a feedmill a few years back and got to thinking yesterday about how the feed was prepared and the internal workings of a feedmill.
My conclusion is that meatmeal should not be handled in any mill that processes cattle feed.Meatmeal is a substance that sticks to everything. There is no way in hell you could ever get it all out of the mixers, pipes, bins, etc.I'd bet my bottom dollar that you could find traces of meatmeal in any cattle feed that comes out of a mill that produces pig, chicken, mink, pet feed, etc.
I think the first step we have to take in Canada to get on top of this B.ull S.hit E.pidemic is to ban the use of meatmeal period in any mills that produce cattle feed.
