selling tagged calves

I'm toying with the idea of selling 30 calves that are in the set back program and I've heard that some people got hurt bad and others did ok. These hfr calves are approx. 600-650 lbs. I'm interested in whats happened in your area ?

I sold a few tagged tailenders in mid December - they were only 500-520lbs and got no discount (up to $1.17 on steers and $.97 on heifers.) I've heard rumours of a few (one or two lots) being hit hard because they were heavier. They were just rumours, didn't see them or how hard they were hit. I suppose even if you were discounted $100 on some heavier calves you are still $100 better of with the program.
