Let 'em come. Let 'em look. They may find answers they don't want to hear anyway. In the long run it really doesn't matter what they say.
I have been giving this some thought over the past few days and have come to the conclusion that the border will open.
Even if some of his politics are scary, I don't ever remember GW ever not doing something he said he was going to do. Can anyone else here remember GW changing his mind on anything? I sure can't.
He did some serious wheeling and dealing with our PM, and got some pretty good concessions out of him. Between pressure from industry down there, and a public promise to us, I think he's going to go through with it.
Whatever the Congress and Senate vote for, it still needs presidential approval to pass. This is a president at the very beginning of a four year term, and we all know how that makes a politician mindful of pressure from ordinary citizens don't we? He will let the protectionists make all the noise they like to make themselves feel better, but that doesn't mean he's going to listen to them.
My opinion. I might be wrong, but then again maybe I'm not.
