    Had an article once that talked of Hereford cattle coming out of the Welsh Black breed. Some pictures of Big horned Welsh Black bulls in Wales with weights on the horns certainly show some resembelence.

      My understanding is the Polled Herefords came from the Horned Herefords that where called Balleds.
      I do have a book on the ansesters of the herefords that trace back to the 1800 in England complete with records. Got the book about 25 or more years ago. I'll have to look it up and give you's some more info. Haven't looked at the book in years, not sure were it is but I'll find it.
