    Paul Martin

A young man named Paul bought a donkey from an old farmer for $100.00.
    >
    >The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day. When the farmer drove up the next day, he said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad news...the donkey is on my truck, but he's dead."
    >
    >*Paul replied, "Well then, just give me my money back."* *
    >The farmer said, "I Can't do that. I went and spent it already."* *
    >
    >Paul said, "OK then, just unload the donkey anyway".* *
    >
    >The farmer asked, "What are ya gonna do with him?"* *
    >Paul said, "I'm going to raffle him off."* *
    >
    >To which the farmer exclaimed, "You can't raffle off a dead donkey!"* *
    >
    >But Paul, with a big smile on his face, said, "Sure I can. Watch me. I just won't tell anybody that he's dead." * *
    >
    >A month later the farmer met up with Paul and asked, "What happened with that dead donkey?"
    >
    >Paul**said, "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars a piece and made a profit of $698.00."* *
    >
    >Totally amazed, the farmer asked, "Didn't anyone complain that you had stolen their money because you lied about the donkey being dead?"*
    >
    >*And Paul replied, "The only guy who found out about the donkey being dead was the raffle winner, when he came to claim his prize. So I gave him his $2 back plus $200 extra, which is double the going value of a donkey, so he thought I was a great guy."*
    >
    >* Paul grew up and eventually became the Prime Minister of Canada, and no matter how many times he lied or how much money he stole from Canadian voters, as long as he gave them back some of the stolen money, most of them thought he was a great guy*
    >

    >On Jan 23rd support organized crime vote Liberal!!!*

OK, if voting Liberal is supporting organized crime, who are you supporting for when you vote Conservative? Big business...remember the Parliamentary Committee looking into excess packer profits? The Conservatives stopped that committee from looking into the packers books. How about the Conservatives supporting the Americans... Do you want you kids getting shot to hell in Iraq so their young lives can be wasted like over 2000 American boys.

I have no doubt the Conservatives can raffle off a dead donkey or two themselves. Remember the Airbus affair? Or the outrageous lie Peter McKay told when he got elected by saying he would not join with the Reform?

I do believe the election will center around the issue of its time for a change. Too bad there is not something out there that offers a change for the better. Otherwise it is still a matter of voting for the devil you know rather than for the devil you don't.

Right on farmer-son. Or do I mean Left on farmer-son. I agree with you whole heartedly. There is no left wing right wing polotics anymore. Just say and do whatever it takes to get to power and start the countdown to the pension plan.

          You are witty today.

Regarding doing anything to get into power. I think Chuck Cadman proved that at least some people are in office with high ideals and for the greater good. The Conservatives really blew it when they gave Chuck the boot in the nominations leading up to the last election forcing Cadman to run as an Independent.

That is one hell of a good story. That is the truth. I really dont think any of the buggers are any good. How are your bulls doing at Cattleland?

farmers son: All the sins you alluded to were not this Conservative party but the old Progressive Conservatives? This party is not that party at all?
Now Paul might try to distance himself from Chretien and the Liberal Party, but the fact is he was dirty and no whitewash by Gomery is going to convince anyone?
And hey, politics are politics and it is a dirty business at the best of times? Cadman was a one trick pony and they made a decision to go with an ethnic candidate. How many Liberal "stars" are parachuted into ridings? No party is lily white in this area.
The Liberal party is full of corrupt arrogant people who believe they have a devine right to rule? David Dingwall is a classic example? "I am entitled to my entitlements"! This arrogant little slug pretty well sums up the Liberal mindset?
