took a look around the yard at the "Iron" that we are ransom to, I added an Int truck with flatdeck, chev dump truck, fifth wheel flatdeck trailer, stock trailer, tubeline bale wrapper, two manure spreaders, 565nh skidsteer, and somewere under the snow is plows, harrows, corn planter, forage harvester, disc bine ,baler.
The list of Iron that is used to operate a farm is staggering, small wonder we are working for the machinery mfg.

Is it possible to operate without equipment?

Well with spraying large areas(or lots of areas) you need to hit the field early, because by 9 AM the wind is starting to pick up and by noon(or earlier) you often have to quit?
Only so many hours of quality spraying time and time is money...especially in this business.

Wind doesn't stop some custom spray applicators any more. Last fall I saw several that were preharvesting crops with 20 mph or better winds. True it was just Roundup, and the dumb farmer wouldn't know the difference, as it was going to kill anyting anyway. We'll see next spring if anything grows along the ditches etx. Sure glad it wasn't anywhere near our place.

Actually it is usually the farmer that stops the spraying...not the custom sprayer! The technology is there to spray under some pretty ugly conditions.
The nature of the business is you need to keep the machine working as much as possible if you want to make a dollar.
