Cows will not eat their feed

Anyone ever had a load of feed the cows will not eat? Buddy of mine bought a load of pellets and the cows would not touch them. Feed company tried topping it off with carmel and still nothing, they finally came and loaded it up. No idea what it could be but to much medication was one suspected reason.

That happened to me once with rolled oats and horses.... seems some fish meal got mixed in with it. Couldn't see it but the horse could sure smell it.

Rxcessive amounts of fines and dust might turn them off too. Some screening pellets don't make a good pellet, and if there is alot of musty stuff in them they won't want them either.

Never had my cows fussy enough to turn down pellets LOL.

I'd check the ingredients, because depending on the type of pellets, they can really vary. Screening pellets can sometimes contain some pretty bitter weed seeds.
