Yep Cowman the border is getting tougher...And on some things Canada is even tougher than the US...If a US citizen ever had a DUI they are banned from crossing north- I know it has stopped several of the fishing groups from going north when one of them is refused at the line...

Surprisingly I have seen a few Saskatchewan vehicles down here a few times this winter....Used to see a lot 10 years ago and then none- must be the exchange that kept them out....I don't make the Great Falls stores too often anymore- usually go to Billings instead...Over here I think most of the Canucks go toward Williston with its K-marts and Walmarts and all...

Willowcreek: Hopefully both governments can come up with this ID card they are talking about and that will make things a lot easier? It sure must be frustrating for a truck driver going either way? Maybe with our new government we will get some decent security on our own borders so the US won't be so gun shy of what is coming in from Canada? The last bunch we had in here had the welcome mat out for just about every piece of trash in the world!

Also Willowcreek: It might just surprize you that we actually have Walmart up here and even a few Macdonalds! Hey we even have a big Cargill plant and an IBP plant!
In fact you might think you were in the good old USA if you ever ventured north? You might even be surprized that we drive chevys, Ford, and Dodge pickups trucks just like you old American boys! You might even marvel how our darned cows look just like yours?
Actually you might be surprized that we aren't all left leaning homo loving socialists! In fact you might be amazed that in Alberta we are probably more American than you Americans!...and at least in Alberta...that we have one hell of a vibrant economy!

On this Hong Kong thing: Now they say retailers in Hong Kong are getting cozy with Canadian packers and looking for product from here instead of the USA?
Now how can this be? Hasn't R-CALF's propaganda campaign that Canadian beef is evil and will surely kill you, worked all that well? Do those Hong Kong boys think they are a bunch of liars and clowns or something?
I do believe the CFIA took the high road and they came out of this thing looking pretty good? I also believe the CCA took that high road, even though it was pretty tough when you had R-CALF doing their best to destroy every cattle rancher in Canada!
The chickens are coming home to roost? Most people can recognize BS when they see it and hey very few like a big bully?
Thanks to R-CALF, in the end we just might gain some markets? R-CALF....working for the American cattleman? I don't think so. When they started implying American beef was evil, just like Canadas, I think they really crossed the line? Send them another calf to auction off!
