The CCA passed a resolution to explore compensation options for sheep and goat producers at their AGM. What does this mean?
Do sheep and goats get these diseases easier than cattle? Does this mean the CCA actually expects some level of infection from these diseases?
Is the government doing the right thing by opposing free access to US cattle coming into Canada, or is the CCA right in letting in untested cattle to placate the USA?
According to the CCA and groups like R-CALF, the "science" says neither of these diseases pose a threat. If that is so why do we need to explore "compensation options"?...and maybe we need to explore "compensation options" for Canadian cattle herds that may be affected?
